The Silence of the Church...Again!!

A few weeks ago, I had met with the director of the pregnancy crisis center in Mountain Home, AR that is an hour away. I am excited to start this week! In our meeting, the director had mentioned the Chain for Life event that was to take place on the 7th of October...yesterday. As the day approached, I couldn't remember if it was this week or next. I had made mention of it on Facebook and a lady, who is in the homeschool group I am apart of, had said that there was one in her town from 2-3. I had actually wanted to attend her church too, so I was excited to learn that it was in her town. When I had commented back to find out whether if it was this Sunday or next, she never replied back. I tried calling the director, but had gotten no answer...it probably didn't help that it was a Saturday. I emailed another lady from the homeschool group who also attended the church I had wanted to try, but she never even knew of the event.
I ended up going to the church in hopes that it would be mentioned. No one knew of it, no mention was made from the pulpit, so I had second guessed myself whether or not the event was even on that day...so I went home. I posted about my miscommunication and how we didn't get to hold signs...I was very disappointed. An hour later, one of the ladies from that church, who didn't know about the event, commented on my post and said she had drove by and there WERE people holding signs!! It was like a blow to my stomach!!
I was soooo frustrated with myself for not getting enough information and that I had second guessed myself, but yet frustrated with the church that there was NO mention made of the event from the pulpit when it was even in there OWN town!!
WHERE IS THE CHURCH??!!?? They're too busy worrying when the next pie social is or too afraid to speak up or too afraid to step on toes!! They are too comfortable in their pews and too lazy to rise up and take a stand for what is right!!
Several verses came to mind as I brewed all day over this. Yes, I brewed!! I kept bringing it up to Jason and said, "Sorry, I'm still brewing over this." And he said, "Yes, I know, I can tell. You can't change people."
With every church I visit, while in search of a church to attend, I try to go out of my way to talk with the pastor of the church to learn more about their church and outreach ministries. So far there is little or no involvement for the unborn. So I write a letter, send a copy of the 180 Movie, a copy of an article called, "Louder than the 'Silent Scream': The Deafening Silence of Our Pulpits", and a copy of the story called, "Sing a Little Louder". But yesterday made me angry to where my letter may be more rebuking to this church! I know my letters can never and will never change anyone...only God can change the hearts of men.
These verses came to mind as I "brewed" :)
Proverbs 24:11-12 (NKJV)
11 Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
12 If you say, "Surely we did not know this,"
Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?
He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?
And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

I think people choose to avoid the obvious and try to "tune out" the on going slaughtering of our children thinking that "it will never end so what can I really do...it's legal." The same thing happened during the Holocaust. Just because something is legal, doesn't make it right! So on Judgment Day, don't tell God, "I didn't know!"

Ezekiel 33:8-9 (NKJV)
8 When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

These young girls are continuously getting pregnant and then killing their children. We need expose their sin and warn them that their wicked ways will lead to eternal death. We are responsible to warn others in love.

Proverbs 31:8-9 (NKJV)
8 Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Again, we NEED to be a voice for those who can not speak!! These babies have no voice as their arms and legs are being ripped apart from their bodies. They have no voice as their skulls are being crushed. They have no voice as they are being burned alive from the inside out of their bodies from the saline solution that was injected into their hearts.
Who will be their voice?? Will you??
The "church", body of Christ, NEED to be a voice!!
I will end with a few links to an article, a story, and the 180 Movie that I usually include with my letter to the pastors. They will be held accountable for what they do and do NOT teach to the congregation.
